My name is Jessica L. Scarlett. My mother will tell you, when I was a little kid I used to play with chicken skin because I liked the way it felt. So, it’s no wonder that I later went to culinary school and became a chef! For many years, I worked in the grocery industry(in the meat and seafood departments), and over the years, came up with some unique recipes and techniques I like to call my own. My husband is also trained in the art of food, and together, we make some awesome meals! We have a 7 year old daughter and live in a suburb of Portland OR. This blog is a snapshot of some of the food I love to prepare, photographed as a reminder of what we eat, how to prepare it, and the memories behind the recipe.
